The Government authority for property appraisal plays a crucial role in supporting Ireland’s property market through valuation services for local taxation and state needs. To support its expanding responsibilities and digital service goals, the organisation needed to modernise how it delivers IT and support services internally and externally.
The Government Authority partnered with VMotion IT Solutions, an Atlassian Solution Partner, to migrate Jira Service Management (JSM) from legacy on-prem infrastructure to Atlassian Cloud. Beyond the migration, VMotion also helped design and implement a fully functional, out-of-the-box service desk, tailored to public sector needs - ready to scale with the organisation.
The Challenge

Prior to the migration, the authority relied on an on-premise Jira Service Management instance that was end of Life and required extensive experience to move to Atlassian Cloud securely and without data lose.
As the customer formed and expanded, it became critical to unify support channels, increase service efficiency, and provide a modern, compliant digital experience for both internal staff and public-facing services.
